Julianne Maston
Instrumental Music
I’m Julianne Maston and I am thrilled to be teaching band and orchestra at Jamestown. I received my Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Towson University and received my Master of Music from The University of the Arts. I began teaching in 2011 and have taught 3rd-8th grade band and orchestra at schools in Maryland, Pennsylvania and of course here in Arlington. I absolutely love teaching instrumental music and look forward to making great music with the students here at Jamestown.
Rai Faison
I’m Rai Faison and I grew up and attended public schools in Washington, DC. I graduated from the Duke Ellington High School for the Arts, received my Bachelor of Music Education Degree, with an emphasis on piano from Howard University, and received my Master of Education Degree from Trinity University. I began teaching in 1994 and have taught K-12 music in different schools in the DC metropolitan area. I began teaching in Arlington in 2003 at Kenmore Middle School, where I was the choral teacher for 15 years before becoming a Jamestown Jaguar. I love teaching music and am excited to be at Jamestown.
Claire Ruggiero
My name is Claire Ruggiero, also known as Mrs. R., and I am proud to be a Jamestown Jaguar! I was born and raised in Indiana and attended Ball State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Vocal and General Music Education. I began my music education career in Indiana in 2014 and moved to APS in 2017 where I taught general music and chorus at Carlin Springs Elementary. I love all the students and staff at Jamestown as well as the JES community and I am so excited to make some great musical memories!
