ParentVUE is an online service that allows families to:

• Update parent and emergency contact information annually (Online Back-to-School Packet)
• View their student’s assigned bus stop
• Report upcoming absences
• View/Submit student attendance and class schedules
• Communicate with teachers
• View assignment grades and report cards (middle and high school students)
• Access assessment scores
• And more!

ParentSquare: With ParentSquare, families can:

• Receive messages from school via email, text or mobile app.
• Choose to receive information as it comes (Instant) or all at once at around 6:00pm (daily digest).
• Communicate in your preferred language.
• Two-way text with automated translation between staff and families.
• Receive attendance notifications.
• Sign up for parent-teacher conferences and more all from your computer or mobile device.

Where’s the Bus App

Arlington Public School buses are equipped with GPS technology that may benefit your household. The WheresTheBus parent app lets you know precisely when your student’s bus will arrive at your bus stop. This app is free to all APS bus-riding households. If you don’t have a smartphone or tablet, don’t worry. You can still reap the benefits of the Where’s the Bus® (https://www.wheresthebus.com) website on a laptop or desktop computer. Choose Parents and set up an account. The system also helps APS Transportation efficiently manage our bus fleet.

** On the app, you may need an update from the App Store or Google Play if your app still shows bus number data instead of bus route data.

Jamestown PTA

Please help support the Jamestown PTA by paying the annual dues for the 2025-2026 school year. For the past several years, we have had 50% of our families join and we would love to exceed that! Want to Volunteer at Jamestown? 

Be a Mystery Reader, Field Trips Chaperone, Math Badges, Etc.

Thank you to everyone interested in volunteering in our school!  All volunteers must go through a pre-screening before helping at, or going on, field trips with Jamestown. There are three simple steps to get approval for Jamestown:

1. Complete the online application.– in English– en Español
2. Once your application is submitted, email DJ Corprew at [email protected] with a subject “Volunteer Application” to speed up the process and receive detailed training information.
3. Before the volunteer application is approved, you must take and pass both the SafeSchools and Sexual Misconduct trainings.  You will be informed as to the status of your application once completed.
