Please help support the Jamestown PTA by paying the annual dues for the 2024-2025 school year. For the past several years, we have had 50% of our families join and we would love to exceed that! Dues are $10/individual or $20/family. You can join the PTA and pay your dues online at the below link.

THURS, 9/19: PTA SPONSORED ICE CREAM SOCIALThe PTA sponsored ice cream social will be held on Thursday, September 19 from 6:00-7:00 pm outside door 11 by the JES playground. Volunteers are needed to set up the tables, serve ice cream, and help clean up, please sign-up here. For questions contact Linda Winters at ice-cream-social@jamestownpta.org.
FRI, 10/18: PTA SPONSORED OUTDOOR MOVIE NIGHTA favorite annual Jamestown PTA tradition returns – the outdoor movie night in the front field on Friday, October 18. Meetup starting at 5:30 pm for play and socialization before the movie starts at 6:30 pm, once the sun has set. School restrooms will be available, popcorn will be complimentary, and additional concessions will be available to purchase from the fifth grade class. FRI, 11/22: PTA BOWLING NIGHTThe third annual Jamestown PTA Social Event – Bowling Night – will be Friday, November 22 from 5:45 pm to 8:00 pm at Bowlero in Falls Church. Jamestown has the entire alley (all 48 lanes!) reserved. Sign-up and payment information will be provided closer to date, but note that PTA members will receive early reservation access – so be sure to join! Winter Illness Information
Winter illness season is here. Influenza (flu), COVID-19, and norovirus are some illnesses to be aware of this season. To protect yourself and others, please keep your child home and notify the school clinic if they are sick. The School Health Program asks that you please read the following to help identify and prevent the spread of winter illness:
Junior Great Books Registration Now Open (Grades 1-5)
The JGB program combines high-quality literature, student-centered discussion, and activities that support reading comprehension and critical thinking. Students are provided a PTA-subsidized book of stories, and small groups meet to discuss these stories at school from 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. for an 8 week period starting the week of January 6.
