Ms. McCarthy is passionate about working side-by-side with teachers and staff in order to best meet the needs of all students. She is honored to return to Jamestown as the principal and is looking forward to continuing the great work that has been done by the staff, students, and families at Jamestown.
Tiến sĩ Monica Roaché, Phó Hiệu trưởng
Dr. Monica Roaché has worked as the assistant principal at Gunston Middle School in Arlington, Virginia for the last thirteen years. Prior to that she worked at Key Elementary School and the Stratford Program in Arlington, VA. She also serves as an adjunct professor for George Washington University. Prior to being an administrator she worked as a speech language pathologist for seven years. Dr. Roaché has extensive experience with culturally and linguistically diverse students, bilingual education, disproportionality in special education, school law, gifted minority students, development of school wide mentor programs, instructional leadership, cultural competence, and teacher professional development. She is skillful in designing innovative programs to enhance school instructional programs, school climate, and student motivation.
Dr. Roaché understands the importance of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with students, parents, faculty members, community agencies, and administrators. Dr. Roaché created and designed a successful school wide student/staff mentor program and was actively involved with a community mentor program for African American female students. Dr. Roaché is an elected official in Washington, DC and serves at an Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner in Georgetown.
